About Us
Newport & Wormit In Bloom began as a small community effort to improve and celebrate the natural character of our villages. Today, we continue that mission by bringing people together to plan, plant and care for shared public spaces across Newport-on-Tay and Wormit.
Our villages
Newport-on-Tay and Wormit sit along the southern shoreline of the River Tay, between the Road and Rail Bridges. Our work focuses on enhancing the natural and scenic beauty of both villages through thoughtful planting and community involvement.
What we do
We work with volunteers, residents and local partners to:
- Create and care for horticultural displays and planters
- Encourage protection and appreciation of the local environment
- Promote community participation in improving shared spaces
- Work with local partners on environmental matters
How we’re run
Newport & Wormit In Bloom is a volunteer-led group and a member of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO).
