NEWPORT & WORMIT IN BLOOM

Planting by Volunteers

Newport-on-Tay and Wormit Villages

Both villages hug the southern coastline of the River Tay between the Road and Rail Bridges.

Established in 2010 the Newport and Wormit In Bloom Group have successfully planted and now tend over 70 planters throughout the area which are maintained by local volunteers.

Our group provides horticultural displays to enhance the natural and scenic beauty of our villages.

Places of interest are the plant filled boats around the villages and also the following -

War Memorial, Tay Street, Newport,

Wall planters at old Ferry Terminal, Telford Pier, Boat Brae, Newport,

Barrier planters at Newport Primary School,

Barrier planters above the Tennis Courts, Wormit,

and Bus Stop planters in both villages.

We also take part in the annual Traders' Newport Festival each summer.

Volunteer with us for 1 - 2 hours per week by emailing -  newportandwormitinbloom@gmail.com

We fundraise throughout the year and rely on our major funders and local helpers - see our Funders Tab above.

Please help support our group by giving a DONATION to us via our CONTACT US Tab above.
